Your Tracking # 1898145332- trojan horse

If you use any type of email client that isn’t web based, i.e. Outlook or Thunderbird, it’s especially important to have some sort of decent anti-virus software scanning your emails.  I’m no tech wizard and I’m not quite as security conscious as I should be, but I do use a couple different security measures to avoid getting infected.  Fortunately, I’ve only had a handful of trojans, worms, viruses, etc over the last decade.

This email pretends to be from UPS.  I’ve had them from FedEx, USPS, and other companies as well.

    This is what I received.

“Sorry, we were not able to deliver postal package you sent on November the 1st in time
because the recipient’s address is not correct.

Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office.
If you do not receive package in ten days you will have to pay 36$ per day.

I opened it. The zip file was corrupted, so I couldn’t open that thank God I am scanning my system right now with a good virus protector, and usually it catches a virus in an e-mail before I even opened it. So I’m wondering if it is a virus. Also, one of the attachments that was in it, was a void death certificate of my aunt, who passed away a year ago. And that why I’m wondering if it was a virus.

This one had upsinvoice_8000073.zip attached although my antivirus software didn’t detect anything. Right now I’m scanning my computer with different software just in case.
